Ria Berger is the CEO of Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County, one of the largest nonprofit oral health providers for children. Previously, she was a Vice President of Human Resources for several Fortune 500 companies, and has been a Managing Director in the United Kingdom for eight years. She started her career as a Budget Analyst for the City of Los Angeles during the Olympic Games.
Berger holds more than 25 years of operations, human resources, and business development experience in multi-cultural, multi-site locations in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Ria Berger has a Masters Degree in Public Administration, specializing in Organizational Development from USC, and has taught various HR and business courses at UCI and USC. Berger currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at CalOptima (Orange County’s single largest health insurer).
Her greatest strengths are in strategic planning and successful execution of world-class organizational, leadership, and people development programs.

She is strategic as well as tactical, in all facets of leading Fortune 500 companies, private corporations, and nonprofit organizations.
Kim has over 30 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. Her background includes public experience with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and 15+ years of private experience in Health Care and other service industries. She led the finance and accounting departments for UST Global, an international organization, assisting the company with obtaining their initial round of financing and subsequently overseeing a period of significant growth. She also worked for a division of The Mentor Network, overseeing accounting for 24 residential facilities that provide rehabilitation services for patients with catastrophic illnesses and injuries.
Kim earned her Masters of Business Administration from U.C. Irvine, graduating cum laude. She earned a B.A. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University at Fullerton. She holds an Active California CPA license.
Tommie Servi received her B.S in Business Administration from Cal State University, Long Beach. Since then, Tommie has acquired over thirty years of experience in healthcare finance, including positions at Tenet Healthcare and St. John’s Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica.
Tommie served eight years with St. Joseph Health System in various leadership roles, most recently as Director of Finance for St. Jude Medical Center. During her tenure at both Mission Hospital and St. Jude Medical Center, Tommie also oversaw the financial operations for the hospital foundations, ambulatory services, clinics, and medical office buildings.
Elisa Briseno has more than six years of experience working with nonprofit organizations in Orange County. Elisa’s goals are ensuring children have access to affordable dental services and increasing oral health education and awareness for Orange County families. As the lead Care Coordinator, Elisa led the effort to coordinate the dental services of the of the seven collaborative dental clinics. In 2012, she reached out to over 1,100 parents and 2,100 children and initiated the expansion of services into South Orange County and in a period of less than 9 months, Healthy Smiles for Kids of OC was providing services at 57 South Orange County locations.
In addition, Elisa has experience in fund development and marketing. In 2008, she was the Co-Campaign Manager of a prevailing campaign for Santa Ana City Councilman, Vincent Sarmiento. Elisa worked for two years as the Fund Development Assistant for the Orange County Bar Foundation, a local nonprofit which provides services to at risk youth. Elisa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Service from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also has a Masters in Public Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Management Analysis from California State University, Long Beach. Since high school, Elisa’s goal has been to utilize her education to improve the lives of undeserved people, which not only remains intact, but has been strengthened as a result of her academic and work experiences.
Dr. Richard Spaulding
Dr. Richard Spaulding is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He graduated from the USC School of Dentistry and earned his Master’s Degree in Medical Nutrition from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Dr. Spaulding completed his pediatric dentistry residency training at Children’s Medical Center-Dallas/Baylor/ College of Dentistry, with a medical staff appointment at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Dr. Spaulding’s private dental office, Torrance Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, offers nine chairs for consultations and operative care for infants, children, and special needs patients.
